1% or Less with Him † Deut. 15:1-11 & Luke 13:31-35

Unread post by Destry »

† † † Today's reading is from Deuteronomy 15:1-11 and Luke 13:31-35.

† † † You shall surely give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand. - Deut. 15:1-11

† † † On that very day some Pharisees came, saying to Him, "Get out and depart from here, for Herod wants to kill You." And He said to them, "Go, tell that fox, 'Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected." - Luke 13:31-32

† † † Prayer: Father, help me to be like you and cheerfully give to help others in any way I can. Father, nothing happens without your permission. Help me to remember that truth.

“First, let no one rule your mind or body. Take special care that your thoughts remain unfettered... . Give men your ear, but not your heart. Show respect for those in power, but don't follow them blindly. Judge with logic and reason, but comment not. Consider none your superior whatever their rank or station in life. Treat all fairly, or they will seek revenge. Be careful with your money. Hold fast to your beliefs and others will listen.”
“Wise? No, I simply learned to think.”
